    After discussing and examining several images from well-known line drawing & sculpture artists from art history like Alexander Calder; students will learn how to develop fluid line drawings with special emphasis on whimsy, animals and aspects of line drawing, then using their drawings for inspiration, students will be encouraged to create a three dimensional wire sculpture.     After discussing and examining several images from well-known abstract & design artists from art history like Helen Frankenthaller; students will learn how to develop an abstract design with special emphasis on creation of a fluid concept, how to loosen up technique and if necessary providing assistance in "letting-go" creatively, then using their concepts for inspiration, students will learn to use thinned color on fabric. The "paints" would be comprised of mixed media allowing for exploration and experimentation, consisting of dye from beets and/or vegetables, fabric paint and thinned acrylics.
